Unless you’ve been sitting under a (fashionable) rock, then you’d have to know by now that starlet upon starlet strutted the red carpet at The 2015 Oscars (otherwise known as the Academy Awards) on Sunday 22nd of February at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for an evening of honoring cinematic achievements in the film industry.
Celebrating not only the cinematic achievements of the industry, but rather 87 years of the globally recognised award giving ceremony and of course, for fashion goers the world over, the regal red carpet ready celebs and their designer dress choices.
And the winner for best dressed on the red carpet goes to… Drum roll please!? Well we wish we could narrow this down to just one winner, however; there were SO many to choose from and I honestly just couldn’t choose one “winner” so here are my personal favourites:
Jenna Dewan-Tatum (yes that’s right, Channing Tatum‘s wife) – who began her career as a back dancer for Janet Jackson and who has recently starred in American Horror Story: Asylum and The Playboy Club – looked ab-so-lutely divine in this white Zuhair Murad dress. I am in love with the simplicity of this gown and the fact that Jenna chose to show skin in all the right places for this elegant event. She looks stunning!
Now let’s talk about Jane Fonda!! Look at Jane’s incredible body…and hair…oh and her genetically blessed face ZOMG she is be-YOND! And at age 77 she absolutely stuns in another Zuhair Murad gown… Jane chooses to show a little more skin but in doing so she also chooses to keep it elegant and in my opinion she makes this sheer dress oh-so age appropriate. Bazinga for Jane and a double bazinga for Zuhair Murad who is sweeping us all away with gown upon gown this red carpet season.
Oh and then there was Zoe Saldana who showed off more than just this incredible custom Atelier Versace pink gown with her post baby body that is looking so ah-mazing. This Avatar leading lady just had twins for heaven’s sake and she is picture purrrfect and statuesque.
And here are a slew of leading ladies such as Oprah Winfrey, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Reese Witherspoon, Sienna Miller, Julianne Moore and many many more who all get a best dressed award too:
