The month of September has seen the Maurice Meade team of hair and makeup artists take on a number of fashion events around Perth… With the Myer luncheon at Telstra Perth Fashion Festival 2015 being no exception.
The twenty plus team of stylists have been creating a number of on-trend looks. Such as soft waterfall braids to pair with the latest high street catwalk looks of a local shopping centre precinct. Plus they recently prepared a slew of models with a modern take on Parisian classic braids teamed with textured buns for a local boutique charity cocktail event. To say that they’ve been busy behind the scenes helping to create Perth’s fashion runway looks, is indeed an understatement.
So let’s go behind the scenes to see what these incredibly talented and creative individuals teed up for the fabulous annual Myer luncheon.
Yes you picked it! Glossy waves were the theme for the Myer luncheon runway. As Maurice Meade’s Style Director, Luke Masters, explains the entire process of curating these hair and makeup looks here:
“After receiving a brief from the designers, the art team gets together to play around and create our own interpretation of the brief and provide any further recommendations to the designers.”
“We then refine our technique to make sure that all curls, waves and parts are uniform. Teamwork is vital,” Luke further states.
And voila – here is the finishing looks:
The soft and beautiful curls were not only classy, but well suited to the Australian retail giant’s runway designer wares.
Kudos to the team at Maurice Meade!
We love the looks and loved going behind the scenes.
